Abstract:
In the present invention, a flat tube (5) is formed having expanded ends by means of fitting a first plate (1) and second plate (2) shaped as a top-bottom pair of grooves, a core is formed by means of a laminate of the flat tube, and in the result of fitting a header tank (8) to the end of the core, a loss of air-tight properties and liquid-tight properties of the core and the header tank (8) resulting from a gap arising at the corners between each flat tube is prevented. A band-shaped section (9) is caused to extend at the position of the expanded section (4) of the flat tubes (5), and the band-shaped section (9) is folded back and overlapped to the outer surface of the groove bottom (2b). At such a time, the configuration is such that the end surface (9a) in the lengthwise direction of the band-shaped section (9) is coplanar with the outer surface of the side wall (2a) of the second plate (2).
