Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to appropriately control the light irradiation of the headlights of a traveling vehicle. This headlight device includes: an image acquisition unit which acquires an image in the travel direction of the traveling vehicle; a vanishing point calculation unit which calculates the position of a vanishing point in the image on the basis of the image acquired by the image acquisition unit; headlights which radiate light in the travel direction of the vehicle; and an irradiation control unit which controls the light irradiation of the headlights on the basis of the position of the vanishing point calculated by the vanishing point calculation unit.
