Abstract:
A headlight device (100) is provided with: a light source (1); a base member (5); a light distribution forming member (3); a rotation member (6); a projection lens (4); and a transmission mechanism (700). The base member (5) holds the light source (1). The light distribution forming member (3) forms a light distribution pattern. The rotation member (6) holds the light distribution forming member (3) and is rotatably held on the base member (5). The projection lens (4) emits light with the light distribution pattern as projection light, and is held on the rotation member (6) rotatably about a rotating axis (42) perpendicular to a rotating axis (68). The transmission mechanism (700) includes a transmission member (7) that transmits an amount of rotation of the rotation member (6) with respect to the base member (5) to the projection lens (4), and causes the projection lens (4) to be rotated in accordance with rotation of the rotation member (6) with respect to the base member (5). The rotating axis (42) extends in a direction corresponding to an upper-lower direction of the light distribution pattern of the projection light.
