The purpose of the present invention is to provide a headlight light source unit which enables reduction in volume. This headlight light source unit is disposed, for example, in a left front part of a vehicle, and is provided with: a first light source (a first low beam light source (32-1), a fifth additional light source (34-5)) including a plurality of first light semiconductor elements and capable of emitting a first group of light fluxes; a second light source (first to fourth additional light sources (34-1, 34-2, 34-3, 34-4), first to fourth high beam light sources (33-1, 33-2, 33-3, 33-4)) including a plurality of second light semiconductor elements and capable of emitting a second group of light fluxes; and a single reflector (first to eighth reflectors (36-1, 36-2, 36-3, 36-4, 37-1, 37-2, 37-3, 37-4) forming a reflection plane for reflecting both of the first group of light fluxes and the second group of light fluxes to the forward side of the vehicle. The second light source is disposed on the front side of the first light source.
