Abstract:
Disclosed are headphones equipped with: a pair of earphones in which each earphone is provided with a speaker and a plurality of microphones that are disposed on the rear side of the aforementioned speaker in a prescribed pattern and collect external sounds, a sound collection signal generation unit that uses a plurality of signals output by the aforementioned plurality of microphones to generate a plurality of sound collection signals respectively having a prescribed directionality, an external-source sound input unit that inputs an external-source sound signal from an external source, and a sound emission signal generation unit that uses the aforementioned external-source sound signal and the aforementioned plurality of sound collection signals to generate a sound emission signal that has directionality and is input into the speaker of each earphone.
