This headrest device comprises: a base; a headrest; and a joint device that movably connects the base and the headrest. The joint device comprises: a first connection shaft that is fixed to the base side; a second connection shaft that is fixed to the headrest side; a connection member that rotatably connects the first connection shaft and the second connection shaft; and a lock mechanism that is capable of acting on the connection member to lock the rotation of the first connection shaft and the second connection shaft. The connection member is provided with: a first accommodation area that rotatably accommodates and retains a spherical body of the first connection shaft; and a second accommodation area that rotatably accommodates and retains a spherical body of the second connection shaft. The lock mechanism is configured to displace the connection member to a locked state so that the rotation of the spherical bodies within the first accommodation area and the second accommodation area is simultaneously restricted, and to displace the connection member to an unlocked state so that the rotation of the spherical bodies is simultaneously permitted from the locked state.
