The present invention relates to a heads-up display apparatus and method. A proposed heads-up display apparatus comprises: a projection optical system to which image light is incident and which projects an image onto a screen; and a moving unit for moving a distance of the projection optical system and the screen in relation to a reflecting mirror while keeping the size of the image unchanged.
