Abstract:
Disclosed is a hearing aid provided with a receiver which is implanted into the mastoid cavity. A hearing aid according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises an output device which, when used, is disposed at a separate position from an input device, and thus is minimally affected by feedback and has no acoustic feedback even at high output. Therefore, the hearing aid can also be applied to a person suffering from moderately severe hearing loss. Further, the implantable hearing aid according to an embodiment of the present invention is simple in terms of an implant surgery method for positioning the output device in the mastoid cavity and can achieve consistent hearing aid performance regardless of the level of the output device implant technique. Further, in the implantable hearing aid according to an embodiment of the present invention, a receiver using air as an output medium is implanted into the mastoid cavity, whereby the hearing aid can have low output medium resistance and high output efficiency.
