Abstract:
This hearing assistance device has: a speech recognition information generating unit that uses first speech information to perform a speech recognition process, thereby estimating one or more words from the first speech information, and generates, for each estimated word, speech recognition information by associating word information that indicates the estimated word and second speech information that corresponds to the estimated word; a first dividing unit that uses the word information to divide a first character string constituted by the one or more words into word units or character units, and generates second character string information that indicates a second character string; and a display information generating unit that generates display information for causing the second character string and a division position that indicates the position where the first character string is divided to be displayed on a display device.
