Abstract:
Provided is a heart rate control device capable of controlling the heart rate of a subject to a desired value between a basal heart rate and an active heart rate such as that immediately after exercise. This heart rate control device has: a detection unit for detecting heart rate information of a subject; an input unit to which information of a target value for the heart rate of the subject is input; a difference extraction unit for extracting the difference between the target value and the present value for the heart rate of the subject calculated from the heart rate information; a pattern generation unit for generating a stimulation pattern in which sympathetic nerve stimulation for stimulating sympathetic nerves, parasympathetic nerve stimulation for stimulating parasympathetic nerves, and initialization stimulation for preventing stimulation saturation of the sympathetic nerves or the parasympathetic nerves are combined on the basis of the difference such that the present value approaches the target value; and an output unit for outputting the sympathetic nerve stimulation, the parasympathetic nerve stimulation and the initialization stimulation to the subject on the basis of the stimulation pattern.
