Abstract:
A first magnetic layer (106) and a second magnetic layer (107) are stacked in that order on a substrate (101). The first magnetic layer (106) has a granular structure containing crystal grains of any of an FePt alloy having an L10 structure, an CoPt alloy having an L10 structure, or an CoPt alloy having an L11 structure, and further containing a grain boundary segregation material of at least one of SiO2, TiO2, Cr2O3, Al2O3, Ta2O5, ZrO2, Y2O3, CeO2, MnO, TiO, ZnO, MgO, and C, wherein the content ratio of the grain boundary segregation material in the first magnetic layer (106) decreases from the side facing the substrate (101) towards the side facing the second magnetic layer (107).
