The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a heat-exchange element that is capable of reducing deterioration of ventilation resistance by minimizing the bending of partition members due to temperature and humidity changes, and that is capable of improving total heat exchange efficiency by minimizing the reduction of a heat transfer area due to an increase in spacing members. This heat-exchange element is obtained by laminating unit component members formed by partition members having thermal conductivity and moisture permeability, and spacing members that keep the partition members at prescribed intervals. A primary airflow, which passes through the top surfaces of the partition members, and a secondary airflow, which crosses the primary air flow and passes through the rear surfaces of the partition members, exchange heat and humidity via the partition members. The heat-exchange element is characterized in that the spacing members are provided with: spacing ribs that maintain the interval between laminated adjacent partition members; and bending suppression ribs that are lower in height than the spacing ribs, and minimize air passage obstructions caused by bending of the partition members.
