Abstract:
Provided are a heat exchange module for a thermoacoustic engine and a thermoacoustic engine whereby sufficient performance as a prime mover or a passive machine can be obtained. The heat exchange module for a thermoacoustic engine is provided with a regenerator (2) having a large number of through-holes (3) formed therein for letting a working fluid through, and two heat exchangers (4, 5) disposed so as to sandwich the regenerator (2). The regenerator (2) and the heat exchangers (4, 5) are spaced in such a way that, when d represents the length of one side of a square having the same cross-sectional area as that of a through-hole (3), and L represents the length of the regenerator (2), the distance between the regenerator (2) and the heat exchangers (4, 5) is between d/3 and L/10 inclusive.
