Abstract:
A heat exchanger is provided with: a main heat exchange unit having a first main fin, a first main pipe inserted into the first main fin, a second main fin provided upwind of the first main fin, a second main pipe inserted into the second main fin, and a main pipe connection member connecting the first main pipe and the second main pipe to each other and extending parallel to the airflow direction; and an auxiliary heat exchange unit having a first auxiliary fin, a first auxiliary pipe inserted into the first auxiliary fin, a second auxiliary fin provided upwind of the first auxiliary fin, a second auxiliary pipe inserted into the second auxiliary fin, and an auxiliary pipe connection member connecting the first auxiliary pipe and the second auxiliary pipe to each other and extending parallel to the airflow direction. When the heat exchanger acts as an evaporator, coolant in the main heat exchange unit flows from the first main pipe to the second main pipe and the coolant in the auxiliary heat exchange unit flows from the second auxiliary pipe to the first auxiliary pipe. When the heat exchanger acts as a condenser, the coolant in the main heat exchange unit flows from the second main pipe to the first main pipe and the coolant in the auxiliary heat exchange unit flows from the first auxiliary pipe to the second auxiliary pipe.
