Abstract:
Disclosed is a heat exchanger which exchanges the heat between an exhaust gas and a heat medium by disposing a heat transfer tube (3), through which the heat medium flows, in a casing, to which the exhaust gas from a boiler is introduced. Specifically, disclosed is a heat exchanger provided with: a folding tube (41) which serially connects the edge portion of a plurality of straight heat transfer tubes (3) that are disposed in parallel; communication tubes (42) which extend from the edge portion of the heat transfer tubes (3) and which are formed with an opening on the extended edge portion (42a); and plug members (43) which close or open the opening of the communication tubes (42). When inspecting the heat transfer tubes (3), the plug members (43) are removed from the communication tubes (42) in order to open the opening of the communication tubes (42). As a consequence, the heat transfer tubes (3) can be accessed from the outside via the opening of the communication tubes (42), and an inspection device can be inserted into the inside of the heat transfer tubes (3) via the communication tubes (42), thus inspecting the heat transfer tubes (3). Once the inspection is finished, the plug members (43) are re-attached to the communication tubes (42) in order to close the opening of the communication tubes (42), thus sealing the heat transfer tubes (3). As a result, the time needed to perform the inspection is reduced because inspection can be performed easily, and workability for the inspection process is improved.
