Abstract:
It is made possible to secure high sealability and to cope with the thickening of heat exchanger components including header pipes. A heat exchanger comprising a header pipe (4) having a refrigerant flow passage formed therein and having an opening of the refrigerant flow passage in at least one of its longitudinal ends, and a sealing means (10) for sealing the opening, wherein the sealing means (10) comprises a convex section (12) adapted to airtightly fit in the opening, and a bottom section (11) larger in diameter than the convex section (12), with at least part of the region of contact between the sealing means (10) and the header pipe (4) being clad with a brazing material.
