Abstract:
Provided are a heat exchanger that can reduce obstructions caused by frost in a channel for a heat exchanging fluid more effectively than conventional fin-and-tube heat exchangers, and a refrigeration cycle device. This heat exchanger (10) comprises: a plate-shaped fin (30) that has one end (30a) and the other end (30b) in a first direction; and a first heat transfer tube (20a) and a second heat transfer tube (20b) that pass through the fin (30) and that are adjacent in a second direction. The external shapes of the first heat transfer tube (20a) and the second heat transfer tube (20b) are flat in the cross-section perpendicular to the first direction in which the first heat transfer tube (20a) and the second heat transfer tube (20b) extend. A section where the fin (30) connects with the first heat transfer tube (20a) and a cavity (41a) that separates the fin (30) and the first heat transfer tube (20a) are disposed between the fin (30) and the first heat transfer tube (20a). The cavity (41a) is disposed closer to the one end side in the first direction than a virtual center line (L2a) that passes through the center of the first heat transfer tube (20a) in the long-side direction and that extends in the short-side direction.
