Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a heat exchanger in which the force by which a heat exchanger cap flies off the end of a header tank can be minimized. [Solution] This invention is provided with: a plurality of heat exchanger elements (3a-3c); a plurality of header tanks (2a-2c) having a cylindrical shape and having openings (8a-8c) formed at the ends; a heat exchanger cap (5) having a plurality of cap bodies (11a-11c) disposed so as to respectively correspond to the inside of the openings (8a-8c) of the header tanks (2a-2c), the cap bodies (11a-11c) having an outer peripheral part (13) facing, with a spacing interposed therebetween, the inner peripheral parts of the header tanks (2a-2c) that form the openings (8a-8c), the heat exchanger cap (5) also having link parts (12) for linking the cap bodies (11a-11c) to each other; and a spacing modifier (15) formed so as to modify the spacing between the outer peripheral part (13) of the cap bodies (11a-11c) and the inner peripheral part of the header tanks (2a-2c), the spacing modifier (15) being provided to the outer peripheral part (13) of the cap bodies (11a-11c) and/or the inner peripheral part of the header tanks (2a-2c) so as to be disposed disproportionately on one half side (H1) from among the one half side (H1) and another half side (H2) partitioned by the intermediate line (L) of the cap bodies (11a-11c) extending in the same direction.
