Abstract:
Provided is a heat exchanger having: a plurality of flat tubes arranged at a distance from each other such that the flat surfaces of the flat tubes are parallel to each other; and corrugated fins each sandwiched between a respective pair of adjacent one and the other of flat tubes of the plurality of flat tubes. The corrugated fins each have: first joining sections which are protrusions on one side of the corrugated shape and which are connected to a flat surface of said flat tube; second joining sections which are protrusions on the other side of the corrugated shape and which are connected to a flat surface of the other flat tube; and fin sections which, between the first joining sections and the second joining sections, exchange heat with air. The fin sections have: fin surfaces for connecting the first joining sections and the second joining sections; slits open longitudinally in the direction along the flat surfaces, between the first joining sections and the second joining sections; and sloped sections continuous from the vicinities of the first joining sections or the vicinities of the second joining sections to the slits and having different gradients relative to the fin surfaces. When the direction in which the plurality of flat tubes extend is vertical, the sloped sections are sloped downward from the first joining section side or the second joining section side toward the slits.
