Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a heat-generating device with which heat generation can be maintained at a low cost and with good efficiency for long hours in an energy-conserving manner. [Solution] This heat-generating device is configured so as to include: a hollow vessel, the inside of which is electrically insulated; a pair of opposing electrodes housed inside the vessel so as to be separated from and opposing each other; and a heat-generating body formed from silicon powder and carbon powder in a mixed state and housed between the opposing electrodes inside the vessel.
