Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a heat insulating container with which a heat and cold retaining effect is maintained for a longer period of time without increasing the size or weight of the heat insulating container.
[Solution] This heat insulating container is provided with an inner container, an outer container and an overlapping region. The inner container includes: a first bottom portion; a first side wall portion which extends from the first bottom portion in a first direction and forms a first open end portion; and a first vacuum layer which is enclosed continuously across the first bottom portion and the first side wall portion. The outer container includes: a second bottom portion; a second side wall portion which extends from the second bottom portion in a second direction opposite to the first direction, and forms a second open end portion; and a second vacuum layer which is enclosed continuously across the second bottom portion and the second wall portion. The outer container mates with the inner container in such a way that an inner surface of the second side wall portion faces an outer surface of the first side wall portion, to form an accommodating portion. The overlapping region is formed by overlapping the inner surface of the second side wall portion and the outer surface of the first side wall portion.
