Abstract:
A heat insulation system for a liquefied natural gas liquid cargo tank for a ship and a construction method thereof. The heat insulation system comprises: a main barrier wall (1), a heat insulation layer, and a protection layer (7). The heat insulation layer is installed on the main barrier wall (1), and the protection layer (7) covers an outer surface of the heat insulation layer. The heat insulation layer comprises, from the inside to the outside: a secondary barrier wall (3), a heat insulation plate, and a water resistance layer (6) in that order. The heat insulation plate comprises a foam glass plate (4) and a polyurethane foam plate (5). The foam glass plate (4) is attached to a surface of the secondary barrier wall (3) by an adhesive. The polyurethane foam plate (5) is attached to a surface of the foam glass plate (4) by an adhesive. The foam glass plate (4) is installed between the polyurethane foam plate (5) and the secondary barrier wall (3) made of metal, so that damage to the heat insulation layer caused by an expansion coefficient variation of thermal insulation materials when the temperature of the heat insulation system changes is avoided. Thermal stress change of the polyurethane foam due to temperature differences is also reduced and the heat insulation system is more safe and stable.
