Abstract:
Provided are: a heat pipe which is capable of preventing container corrosion and hydrogen gas production which are caused by an operating fluid which contains water, even when the container is subjected to plastic deformation such as bending and when a medium to be cooled that has a large heating value is thermally connected thereto; and a method for producing said heat pipe. To this end, a heat pipe having a container which includes a container substrate, and also having an operating fluid which contains water and is sealed inside the container, the heat pipe being further equipped with: a first coating film which has tin and/or a tin alloy and is provided on the inner surface of at least the container substrate; and a second coating film which has a hydroxide and/or oxide containing tin, and is formed on at least part of the surface of the first coating film.
