Abstract:
A heat pipe configured in such a manner that an operation liquid is quickly returned to the heating side using a simple configuration to thereby improve the heat conveyance efficiency of the heat pipe.
A heat pipe (1) formed by sealing an operation liquid (5) within a container (2) in which the heating side (22) and the cooling side (24) are sealed. The heat pipe (1) is provided with a center tube (3) provided inside the container (2), and a filiform body (4) (gap forming member) provided between the outer wall (31) of the center tube (3) and the inner wall (21) of the container (2) and forming an annular gap (6) in such a manner that a capillary phenomenon is generated between the outer wall (31) of the center tube (3) and the inner wall (21) of the container (2). A first tapered section (32) and a second tapered section (33) which are adapted to prevent a vapor flow from flowing back to the gap (6) side from a heating chamber (23) are provided to the ends of the center tube (3).
