Abstract:
A sidewalk plate (1) with a snow melting function, capable of being heated to a desired temperature and capable of sufficiently achieve strength. A material obtained by putting a predetermined ratio of a granular or powder-like carbonaceous material in concrete before hardening is pressed and dewatered at a high pressing force of about 980 kN by a high-pressure press machine, forming the material into a plate to obtain a heat producing concrete body (2). A pair of electrodes (5) is embedded in both end portions in the width direction of the heat producing concrete body (2). The outer surface of the heat producing concrete body (2) is coated by an insulation coating layer (6). One side and the four sides of the heat producing concrete body (2) are covered by concrete (3) before hardening. The heat producing concrete body (2) and the concrete (3) are then integrally formed into a plate by pressure applied by a high-pressure press machine to produce the sidewalk plate (1) with a snow melting function.
