Abstract:
This apparatus is provided with: a compressor (1) for compressing a refrigerant; an outdoor heat exchanger (2) for conducting heat exchange between the refrigerant and a medium to be heated; an outdoor temperature sensor (41) which detects the temperature of outside air constituting a heat-exchanged medium, and which constitutes part of a refrigerant circuit in which an expansion valve (4) for reducing the pressure of the refrigerant through adjustment of the opening and an indoor heat exchanger (3) serving as an evaporator for heat exchange between the heat-exchanged medium and the refrigerant are connected through pipelines; a discharge temperature sensor (21) for detecting the discharge temperature of the refrigerant by the compressor (1); and a controller (101) which, upon determining that the rotation speed of the compressor (1) is at the maximum and that the temperature of the heat-exchanged medium is lower than a set temperature, controls the opening of the expansion valve (4) on the basis of the discharge temperature.
