Abstract:
 A heat pump chilling system has an inlet temperature sensor for detecting the inlet temperature of a heat medium that flows into a plurality of heat pump chilling devices, an outlet temperature sensor for detecting the temperature at the outlet where the medium flows from the plurality of heat pump chilling devices to a load, and a system control device for controlling the operation of the plurality of heat pump chilling devices on the basis of the inlet temperature and the outlet temperature. The system control device is provided with: a storage unit in which the operating capacity of each of the plurality of heat pump chilling devices is stored; a required capacity calculation means for calculating the required capacity on the basis of a target temperature set for the inlet temperature or the outlet temperature; a unit-quantity calculation means for calculating the number of units of the heat pump chilling devices to be started up to satisfy the required capacity, on the basis of the operating capacity of each of the plurality of heat pump chilling devices; and a startup control means for starting up the startup unit quantity of the heat pump chilling devices as calculated by the unit-quantity calculation means.
