Abstract:
A heat pump device (200) comprises: an inverter (1) that applies a high-frequency voltage having a frequency equal to or higher than the operating frequency of a compressor (31) to a motor that drives the compressor (31); and an inverter controller (4) that switches between the positive and negative directions of the output voltage output by the inverter (1) every half cycle of a carrier signal that is used to generate a switching signal that controls the on/off of each of a plurality of switching elements (21a to 21f). The inverter controller (4) prohibits switching of the output voltage between the positive and negative directions during a first period, where the first period is an integral multiple of two or more of the half cycle of the carrier signal.
