Abstract:
A heat pump device comprising: a heat pump cycle (20) having an evaporator (24) that evaporates a refrigerant; a heat source air guiding unit (40b) that guides heat source air having a higher temperature than external air, to the evaporator side; a frosting determination unit (S1) that determines whether or not frosting has occurred on the evaporator; and a control unit (50) that, if a determination has been made by the frosting determination unit that frosting has occurred on the evaporator, executes a defrosting operation for defrosting the evaporator. The control unit is capable of executing, as the defrosting operation: a first defrosting operation whereby a refrigerant is caused to flow to the evaporator, said refrigerant having a higher temperature than a low-pressure refrigerant when a determination has been made by the frosting determination unit that frosting has occurred on the evaporator; and a second defrosting operation whereby the heat source air is guided to the evaporator side by the heat source air guiding unit.
