Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a heat pump system that is capable of protecting a compressor and of estimating the state of a suction refrigerant highly accurately while curbing costs. [Solution] The invention comprises: a refrigerant circuit 1 that includes a compressor 10 and in which a refrigerant circulates; a temperature sensor 2 that measures the temperature of the refrigerant; a pressure sensor 3 that measures the pressure of the refrigerant; and a drive suppression-control device 4 that determines a reduction in the pressure of the refrigerant sucked into the compressor 10 on the basis of a measurement value of the temperature sensor 2 and a measurement value of the pressure sensor 3, and that performs control to suppress driving of the compressor 10. The drive suppression-control device 4: controls the driving of the compressor 10 by determining a reduction in the pressure of the refrigerant sucked into the compressor 10, from the measurement value of the temperature sensor 2, in a case where a predetermined first condition is established; and performs control to suppress the driving of the compressor 10 by determining a reduction in the pressure of the refrigerant sucked into the compressor 10, from the measurement value of the pressure sensor 3, in a case where a predetermined second condition different from the first condition is established.
