Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To develop a heat ray shielding glass that exhibits a film strength allowing use in a vehicle glass with up-and-down function, generating no abnormal noise by friction due to up-and-down movement. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The heat ray shielding glass for vehicle is one comprising a vehicle glass and, superimposed on at least one major surface thereof, a heat ray shielding film containing conductive oxide ultrafine particles and a silica binder, wherein the silica binder consists of solids produced by hydrolysis and polycondensation of a tetraalkoxysilane and a trialkoxysilane, and wherein the weight ratio of solid produced from the tetraalkoxysilane to solid produced from the trialkoxysilane is in the range of 55:45 to 85:15, and wherein the weight ratio of conductive oxide ultrafine particles to silica binder is in the range of 35:65 to 70:30.
