Abstract:
A heat-resistant plate glass which is composed of a glass plate main body (3A) having a reinforcing treatment applied thereto and which combines a reinforced performance as heat-resistant plate glass with ornamentality. An ornamental portion (12) is provided in the region of the plate surface of the glass plate main body (3A) except at least one end edge. This ornamental portion (12) can be formed in the region except for the entire peripheral edge of the glass plate main body (3A), and if the ridge is formed so that it is smooth over the entire end edge of the glass plate main body (3A), the thermal stress produced in the end edge of the glass plate when a fire occurs can be reduced even if the ornamental portion (12) is provided.
