Abstract:
A polysiloxane composition in the state of a flowable liquid or a solid, which comprises at least one component [A] and at least one component [B]:
R1SiO3/2 [A]
R2R3SiO2/2 [B]
[wherein R1, R2 and R3 may be the same or different and are each either a hydrocarbon group or a hydrocarbon group containing an aromatic ring],
characterized in that the viscosity of the polysiloxane composition can be controlled by heating to such a level as to permit various operations such as molding, application to a substrate to be coated, or blending with solid components except the components [A] and [B], and then the resulting viscosity -controlled polysiloxane composition can be converted into a cured product through high-temperature heat treatment. The composition exhibits particularly high heat resistance and excellent moldability.
