Abstract:
A heat resistant titanium alloy sheet excelling in cold workability that has high-temperature strength properties superior to those of JIS 2 type pure titanium and exhibits resistance to high-temperature oxidation and cold workability equal to or higher than those of JIS 2 type pure titanium; and a process for producing the same. There is provided a heat resistant titanium alloy sheet excelling in cold workability, characterized in that it comprises, by mass, 0.3 to 1.8% Cu, ≤0.18% oxygen, ≤0.30% Fe, optionally together with 0.3 to 1.5% in total of at least one member selected from among Sn, Zr, Mo, Nb and Cr, and the balance Ti and <0.3% impurity elements. Further, there is provided a process for producing the titanium alloy sheet, characterized in that a final annealing is performed within a temperature range of 650° to 830°C, or that a hot-rolled-sheet annealing or intermediate annealing is performed within a temperature range of 650° to 830°C while a final annealing after cold rolling is performed within a temperature range of 600° to 650°C.
