The present invention relates to a heat rod assembly for a vehicle heater, and a manufacturing method therefor, the assembly comprising: a housing assembled from an upper frame and a lower frame; a PTC frame provided inside the housing, and having hollow holders divided by gaps in a longitudinal direction; PTC elements inserted into the holders of the PTC frame inside the housing; terminal plates arranged to come in contact with each of the PTC elements with the PTC elements placed therebetween, and a (+) terminal and a (-) terminal, which respectively extend from the terminal plates in a longitudinal direction; and an insulator interposed between the inner surface of the housing and the terminal plate, wherein the upper frame and the lower frame are fixed in an integrated form since welding occurs in the circumferential direction of a coupling surface at which the frames are fitted together. Therefore, a manufacturing process having been required to be performed with manual operations by means of insert injection molding can be switched into an automatic assembly process, thereby enabling manufacturing speed and productivity according to the automatic process to greatly increase and enabling the rate of generation of defective products to be remarkably reduced.
