Abstract:
Provided is a heat-sealing-type acrylic emulsion for paper. The emulsion is prepared from the following raw materials in percentages by weight: 2-5 wt% of a PVOH master batch, 7-12 wt% of a hard monomer, 5-9 wt% of a soft monomer, 1-3 wt% of a functional monomer, 0.3-0.6 wt% of an emulsifier, 0.2-0.5 wt% of an initiator, 0.3-0.5 wt% of a cross-linking agent, and 0.05-0.1 wt% of a defoaming agent, with the balance being water, wherein the functional monomer is vinyl sulfonic acid and/or acrylamide; and the cross-linking agent is aziridine and/or imidazole. Compared with the prior art, by preparing an acrylic emulsion from raw materials with specific contents of components, the present invention achieves an overall better interaction. On the one hand, the viscosity of the emulsion is enhanced, a reticular compact cross-linked structure is formed with long-strip fibers of paper, the surface activity of a coating is improved, and the bonding force between the coating and the paper is enhanced; on the other hand, the glass transition temperature of the emulsion is adjusted, and after the monomers are completely reacted, the addition of the cross-linking agent for further cross-linking with carboxyl in the acrylic emulsion again can result in the formation of a thermally activated acrylic coating, such that the stability of the emulsion and the heat sealing performance of the coating after drying are further improved.
