This heat shielding coating comprises: a bond coat layer that is layered on a parent material; and a ceramic layer that is layered on the bond coat layer, and includes a first layer with 10% to 15% porosity and a second layer with 0.5% to 9.0% porosity, said second layer being layered on the first layer.
