Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a heat-shrinkable polyester film that does not contain a large amount of a monomer component that can become an amorphous component, that has sufficient heat shrinkage characteristics in a main shrinkage direction that is the lengthwise direction, that has a low heat shrinkage rate in a width direction that is orthogonal to the main shrinkage direction, that exhibits very few flaws on the film surface thereof, that has high mechanical strength, that has a small molecular orientation angle difference, and that exhibits little thickness unevenness. [Solution] A heat-shrinkable polyester film that comprises ethylene terephthalate as a main constituent, that contains 0-5 mol% of a monomer component that can become an amorphous component relative to the total of a polyester resin component, in which the main shrinkage direction is the lengthwise direction, and in which the heat shrinkage characteristics in the lengthwise direction and the width direction and a molecular orientation difference that is the difference between the molecular orientation angle of the edge of one end in the width direction and the molecular orientation angle of the edge of the other end are within a specified range.
