Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a heat-shrinkable polyester film for which protrusions from the surface of the film fall into a fixed range to make it possible to obtain a film roll that is transparent and printable, has a favorable appearance, and has high heat shrinkage in a heat shrinkage direction that is the width direction. [Solution] A heat-shrinkable polyester film that is characterized by satisfying conditions (1)–(5). (1) The hot-water heat shrinkage in the width direction of the film when the film is immersed in 90°C hot water for 10 seconds is 40%–80%. (2) The hot-water heat shrinkage in the longitudinal direction of the film when the film is immersed in 90°C hot water for 10 seconds is -5%–10%. (3) The maximum height Sp of protrusions from at least one surface of the film is 0.8–3.0 μm. (4) The arithmetic average height Sa of at least one surface of the film is 0.03–0.2 μm. (5) The time it takes for air to pass between the front and back surfaces of the film is no more than 14 s.
