Abstract:
A heat-shrinkable polyester tube which has excellent durability under high-temperature high-humidity conditions. The heat-shrinkable polyester tube is formed from a thermoplastic polyester resin composition comprising at least one hydrolysis inhibitor and a thermoplastic polyester resin. It is characterized in that when the tube which has been used for covering is allowed to stand for 30 hours under the conditions of a temperature of 130°C, relative humidity of 85%, and absolute vapor pressure of about 0.23 MPa in accordance with JIS C 0096 and then examined by gel permeation chromatography, then the polymer has a weight-average molecular weight Mw(30), in terms of polystyrene, of 30,000 to 150,000.
