Abstract:
Provided are a heat storage device that uses an evaporation prevention layer that can be used stably over longer periods, and an air conditioner equipped with said heat storage device. The heat storage device is equipped with a heat storage container in which a heat storage solution layer constituted by a heat storage solution comprising water, a heat exchanger that is immersed in the heat storage solution layer, an evaporation prevention layer disposed above the heat storage solution layer, and an air layer disposed above the evaporation prevention layer, are disposed in the interior space of the heat storage container. The heat storage device is characterized in that: the evaporation prevention layer is constituted to include a solvent composition comprising at least one type of water-insoluble solvent; the solvent composition has a pour point that is lower than normal temperature; and the water-insoluble solvent contains at least one type of hydrocarbon having 24 to 44 carbons.
