Abstract:
A purpose of the present invention is to provide a heat-storage material which can retain a quantity of latent heat even when containing a supercooling inhibitor. The heat-storage material according to one embodiment of the present invention is a heat-storage material which undergoes a phase change at a given temperature, and comprises a main ingredient comprising water and a quaternary ammonium salt that forms a semiclathrate hydrate, a pH regulator that keeps the heat-storage material alkaline, and a nucleator that generates a cation showing positive hydration. In an environment having a temperature exceeding the phase change temperature, the heat-storage material separates into a first liquid layer, which comprises the main ingredient, and a second liquid layer, which comprises the nucleator.
