Abstract:
A heat-storage-type air conditioner (10) that, by using an indoor heat exchanger (27) to evaporate a coolant that has been compressed by an outdoor heat exchanger (22) and then cooled by a heat-storage heat exchanger (37), performs a utilization cooling operation that cools an indoor space. When the specific gravity of a heat-storing medium in a solid state is greater than the specific gravity of the heat-storing medium in a liquid state and the heat-storing medium flows out of a heat-storage tank (62) from an outflow tube (56) that is arranged above an inflow tube (55), an operation control unit (100) controls the rotational speed of a pump (63) in accordance with the cooling load of the indoor space during the utilization cooling operation. As a result, the electric power consumption of the heat-storage-type air conditioner is reduced.
