Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a heat transfer sheet capable of suppressing the occurrence of print failure on a transfer layer and also capable of producing printed matter with good glossiness. A back-face layer 20 is provided on one side of a base material 1; a transfer layer is provided on the other side of the base material 1; the transfer layer has a monolayer structure or laminated structure having a protective layer 5; the back-face layer contains spherical particles 25; and the ratio of total projection area of the spherical particles 25 to the area of an entire observation surface when observed by a scanning electron microscope (SEM) at 5000-fold magnification is from 1.8% to 20%.
