Abstract:
A heat treatment device 1 comprising: a heating unit 2 that inductively heats a region requiring quenching on a workpiece W, to a target temperature; a cooling unit 3 that cools and quenches the heated region requiring quenching on the workpiece W; a sealed chamber 4 wherein at least the heat treatment is executed, out of the heat treatment by the heating unit 2 and the cooling by the cooling unit 3; and a replacement device 13 that changes the internal atmosphere of the sealed chamber 4, from an oxidized atmosphere to a non-oxidized gas atmosphere. The heat treatment device 1 has provided therein a temperature adjustment device 50 that adjusts the atmospheric temperature inside the sealed chamber 4, after changing to the non-oxidized gas atmosphere, to within a prescribed range by heat exchange between non-oxidized gas filled into the sealed chamber 4 and cooling fluid 54 that flows through a cooling pipe 53.
