Abstract:
Provided are: a method for manufacturing a high-strength stainless steel pipe; and a heat treatment equipment line for the high-strength stainless steel pipe, which serve to impart stable product quality to a high-Cr seamless steel pipe to be subjected to quenching and tempering treatment. In this online heat treatment equipment for the seamless steel pipe, low-temperature cooling equipment (4) capable of cooling the seamless steel pipe to 20°C or below is arranged at one end or one part of a heat treatment transportation line (3) interposed between equipment for quenching (2) and a tempering furnace (5). In the heat treatment of the steel pipe containing at least 14% Cr, quench cooling continues until the temperature is 50°C or below, and, after cooling to 20°C or below, the tempering treatment is performed, thereby manufacturing the high-strength stainless steel pipe of stable product quality.
