Abstract:
Provided is a heat treatment method for obtaining an annular roller bearing raceway ring the thickness of which changes in the axial direction, the method comprising: (A) subjecting an annular workpiece, which is made of a high-carbon chromium bearing steel and the thickness of which changes in the axial direction, to a quenching treatment; (B) subjecting the quenched workpiece to a tempering treatment, immersing the entire workpiece in a cooling liquid, and while in this state inductively heating the workpiece; and (C) subjecting the tempered workpiece to a finishing process.
