Abstract:
Provided is a heat treatment oil composition with which it is possible to minimize reduction of luster of a metal material during heat treatment, and to minimize increase over time in the number of seconds (characteristic seconds number) needed to reach the temperature at which a vapor film stage is completed, and decrease over time in kinetic viscosity. The heat treatment oil composition includes (A) a base oil, and (B) a vapor film rupturing agent selected from one or more petroleum resins, terpene resins, rosins, and derivatives thereof.
