Abstract:
This heater control apparatus is to be mounted on a vehicle. The heater control apparatus is provided with a control device (2) and a temperature sensor (4). The control device controls the operation of a hot-wire heater (5, 8) disposed on a windowpane (6) of a vehicle. The temperature sensor is disposed in proximity to the hot-wire heater, and detects the temperature of the windowpane. The control device keeps the hot-wire heater turned on until the temperature detected by the temperature sensor reaches a predetermined value that is prescribed as a temperature at which the windowpane gets deiced, and then turns off the hot-wire heater. Since the hot-wire heater is turned off after being kept on until the temperature of the windowpane reaches the predetermined temperature, it is possible to prevent the hot-wire heater from being turned off before the windowpane is deiced or from being continuously turned on wastefully even after the windowpane has been deiced.
