Abstract:
This heater control device (20) is provided with: a heater drive circuit (4) for driving a heater (5); and a control unit (3) that outputs an operation command to the heater drive circuit (4), wherein the control unit (3) controls the operation intensity of the heater (5) by means of a phase control which is a method that involves varying an applied voltage by directly turning on or off an AC voltage. The control unit (3) adjusts the timing of turning on a TRIAC for each half cycle of the AC voltage with respect to the zero-cross point of the voltage of a commercial power supply (1) to change a conduction angle, so that the voltage applied to the heater (5) is changed by the heater drive circuit (4), and the conduction angle of the current passing through the heater (5) is controlled on the basis of the time elapsed since the start of heater (5) operation.
